With the new year comes a lot of new things, some of the most entertaining new things are the premieres of all the different pilots for the season. However, if you are not ready to take on a totally new television endeavor, here are six of our favorite TV shows that will return in 2015.
Downton Abbey– Obviously a SmartFem favorite, and for more than just the adorable male characters! Viewers will be reunited with their dawn of the century SmartFems including Michelle Dockery, Maggie Smith, and the rest of the colorful cast come January 4.
True Detective-True Detective has been getting tons of buzz these last few months in regards to who the main cast will comprise of this season. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey will be a pretty hard act to follow, but we’re still excited about mystery television none the less!
Girls– We couldn’t leave out Girls on the list! With Lena Dunham making headlines lately, the approach to the new season should be an interesting ride for sure. Check out what the lovely ladies of HBO’s Girls are up to on January 11.
Hannibal– For those who love shows and movies based on books, if you haven’t already caught up on NBC’s gruesome Lecter revival, be sure to do so before season three is released early next year. This show has something for every viewer, but have caution if you are squeamish around blood and gore, because there is plenty of that.
Parks and Recreation– If Hannibal is too dark for you, Parks and Recreation is probably a show you are familiar with. Join Leslie Knope, Ron Swanson and Tom Haverford as they enter their last season as a cast. It’s sure to be a tearful end to an almost decade long run, but I have a feeling we won’t be let down. Parks and Recreation is also set to air early next year.
