Whether you’re looking to keep the kids entertained, or in need of an activity to help show out-of-town guests how beautiful Arizona is, here are some fun ideas for activities to do during the holiday season.

Polar Express

Every year the city of Williams kicks off the holiday season in Arizona with the Polar Express. The hour long train ride takes kids through the magical journey based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg. Children enjoy the story while they take a trip through the enchanted land while sipping on hot chocolate.

Glendale Glitters

With 1.5 million LED lights, this show is truly magical. located in downtown Glendale, the free attraction features food, games, entertainment and a winter wonderland for kids. If you keep an eye out, you might even spot Santa Claus.

Christmas at the Princess

Featuring a four-story animated tree, music, S’mores Land, train rides and an ice skating rink, this event is great for all ages.

Holiday Lights at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park 

Attendees will enjoy a festive ride on the train through a magically lit up wonderland. December 9 is opening night which will feature a tree lighting ceremony and a visit from Santa. Jolly the Elf also makes nightly appearances.

Snow Much Fun Day

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is bringing in 20 tons of snow to play in starting December 10. Santa Claus and Arizona Coyote team members will also be there to spread holiday cheer.
