I see many children and grown adults ruined by the fact they were not allowed or taught to take responsibility for themselves. Sadly, it seems addictions and depression are very prevalent as well.

The parents who teach their children independence and encourage their growth will reap the benefits of enjoying happy, healthy, well-adjusted and productive adult children.
In the long run, you certainly get what you foster…
