DEBORAH BATEMAN

Deborah Bateman is not only savvy with finances, but she is also a strong and forward thinking woman who interacts in her community to create a stronger and more successful tomorrow.

She has over 35 years of experience in the banking industry, including work in major U.S. cities New York, Chicago and of course, Phoenix. Deborah currently is the Executive Vice President and Director of Wealth Services of National Bank of Arizona. In addition to those duties she serves on the bank’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

On top of her dedicated work in the banking industry Deborah also strives to stay involved in her community through many organizations. She is currently serving on the Executive Committee for FreshStart and the Phoenix Suns Charities. Deborah has been described as someone who “does a lot for the enrichment of women everywhere.”

She is also on the local advisory board for the American Cancer Society and a board member of Homeward Bound, the O’Connor House and ChildHelp. In addition, Deborah is a member of Charter 100, Women President’s Organization, Central Phoenix Women, ASU’s Women and Philanthropy, Arizona 5 Arts Council and the Heart Ball 100.

She has served as Chair/Co-Chair of the 2012 Dine With Your Dog Gala benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the 2011 Arizona Foundation for Women’s Sandra Day O’Connor Luncheon, the 2011 Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Promise Ball, as well as the 2009 and 2010 Arthritis Foundation’s Oscar Night America.

Her relentless work shows her true passion and has resulted in Deborah receiving many awards over the years, recently including:  Arizona Foothills – 2011 Women Who Move the Valley, Phoenix Business Journal – 2011 Women in Business, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – 2011 Bronze Sierra Award.

Deborah is an exemplary woman who works in her field as well as her community to try to improve the world around her!
